The municipal library of Cateau-Cambrésis invited Couprie for a one-off exhibition in November 2004. The painter could not at all imagine that a few years later this place would be baptized “Centre socio-culturel Jean-Pierre Couprie”.

During the private viewing of the exhibition, Couprie was interviewed about his life in the North of France.
